The Ardenhurst Community Park is located on the west shore of Island Lake at 66856 Island Lake Road.  The park has a picnic shelter with picnic tables, barb-b que stands, handicapped access outdoor privy, two fire rings and a hand pump well.   Island Lake Road is located off State Highway 46, 2½ miles south of Itasca County road 24 and 1½ miles north of Itasca County road 31.  Island Lake Road is a dead end road and large vehicles with trailers should not attempt to visit this park.

 

Boat access from Island Lake can be obtained by beaching at north boundary of the park and following the cleared access trails.  Snowmobile access can also be achieved by using the same route.

The park may be reserved by township residents for special events by contacting the township clerk or supervisors.

 Park rules are as follows:

·       Park hours are from sunup to sunset

·       No overnight parking or camping

·       All trash is to be carried out

·       Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times

·       Collecting plants, animals or cutting of flowers is prohibited

·       No hunting or trapping in park

·       No swimming from park shore

·       All fire must be kept in the fire rings provided

 

Please respect others by avoiding use of offensive or obscene language, engaging in disorderly conduct or making excessive noise.
